Sunday- I made Taco Soup for small group and we had lots of sides and desserts!

Monday- Just getting home from Austin so we are just eating what's here....which isn't much as I need to go to the store. Probably frozen pizza!

Tuesday- Monterey Jack Chicken Casserole, green beans and rolls (This is my friend Kerry's recipe and it is SO GOOD!)

1/2 c cottage cheese
1/2 c sour cream
3 oz cream cheese
3 c cooked chicken (I use a routissere chicken from Kroger since it's already cooked)
3 cup cooked wild rice (1 box of Uncle Ben's wild rice original recipe)
2 1/4 c chicken broth (only to be used in place of water when making rice)
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1c grated monterey jack cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Fritos (used for topping when served or baked on top of recipe when cooking)

Directions:
Make rice according to box but substitute chicken broth for water. Pull chicken into pieces and set aside. Mix in a large bowl cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream together until blended and then add cream of mushroom soup. Pour in the rest of the ingredients and blend except the Fritos. In a 9 x 13 pan bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.Top with Fritos and serve.

Wednesday- Roast, potatoes, carrots and steamed broccoli, rolls.

Thursday- Spaghetti, garlic bread and salad.

Friday- Hopefully date night for me and hubby!

Saturday- Not sure!

Show us Your Life....Kid's Rooms

I am joining Kelly in SUYL and today is Children's rooms....my favorite!

This is Emily's nursery! These pictures were taken before she was even born....except the first one which was taken when she was about a month old! You can see my middle two son's room by clicking here!
I don't have pictures of my oldest son's room....I will have to clean it tomorrow and add them later!

The pompoms are from Martha Stewart! Her bedding is from Polka Tot Designs and I love it!!!

I had her curtains custom made and they are sheer toile with pink ribbon for the tie backs.
I also bought her chandelier at Lowe's....it was an ugly green and yellow and I spray painted it and totally redid the shades. It is one of my favorite things about her room!

Her dresser is from Ikea.....

This piece of tin hangs above her changing table now and it says...Flowers in her hair...flowers everywhere! Her Daddy picked it out for her!

Taylor's Homecoming Dance 2010

Let me start by saying that I can't believe that these two handsome young men are going to homecoming looking all grown up! It seems like just yesterday they were wrestling in their underoos, playing with light sabers and making experiments! Time just flies....they have been best friends since the second grade!

Emily LOVED Madison's mum....I had to keep it up high so she wouldn't mess with it!

Of course Emily loves her big brother so she had to get in on the pictures too!

This is the group! Most of these kids have been going to school together since kindergarten so soon after. I love how close they all are....like family!!
I didn't get pictures of each couple as they were ready for us parents to get out of there so they could eat! Keller's mother decorated the table so beautiful for them and had the cutest place cards.

Jayce and Nadia....(Jayce is hilarious and the most talented piano player...also he is such a warrior for Christ at such a young age. Taylor said he blessed the food before they ate dinner!)
Nadia is gorgeous!

Johnny and Katelyn....(Johnny and Taylor have been best friends since about 2nd grade!)

Macy and Blake....(both sweet kids!)

Keller and Alex (Alex is quiet but very funny...Keller is sweet as can be!)

Taylor and Madison....(they have been friends since Kindergarten!)

This is Maddie putting gas in our truck while Taylor watches....(actually this was her idea and we thought it was a cute photo opp!!)

11. Jesse and Noah are biological brothers from Korea and it was a miracle that we have him!

12. Emily was conceived after we were told we would never have biological children again and she was conceived on month after Marc cancelled his "free" vasectomy!

13. Every Sunday in church I cry for my baby boy in Haiti that is waiting on us....I close my eyes and picture myself rocking him and singing to him and just loving on him and I ache for the day I will actually be able to do that!

Emily Grace is 14 months old!

WOW...what happened to the days I could put her in her bumbo and make funny faces and she couldn't move and would look right at me and smile? They are long gone!!!! She is wild....especially outside and is not real fond of having her picture taken anymore. I will have to edit and write her "what are you doing now?" later...I am hot and tired after that shoot!

Show Us Your Life.....Kitchens!

I am joining in again with Kelly's Korner and this week it's kitchens!

I love my kitchen....I have more cabinet space then I know what to do with but somehow I seem to fill them all up! I love the black granite but would not have it again if I had a choice as it's hard to keep free of little finger and hand prints. It's pretty though.
The first view is from the living room looking into the kitchen over the sink.

My favorite part of my kitchen is the faux finish and the faux exposed brick that I had painted! I love it! My dream house would have REAL exposed brick!
