Even boys need a little pampering.......

It had been forever since I had a pedicure and Marc was having to go out of town last weekend so I decided to just brave it and take the boys and Emily with me. Not Taylor, he wouldn't be caught dead having a pedicure. I went to this new place that I love and they have the cutest little chairs for kids that have DVD players to keep kids busy while getting their pedicures. The boys were so cute....especially Jesse....he was kicked back and saying "this feels SOOOOOO good...I want one everyday mom"!!! Me to Jess!!!!!! (Not sure Daddy is going to let them go again but they sure enjoyed their first pedicure!!)

Married Life Live......

This is an event, or a "date night" that we have at our church for married couples and tonight I just decided to google it and see what other churches do for theirs and found the 6 essentials that we talk about during our "Married Life Live" nights. It's been awhile since we had one so I really had forgotten what they were but it really is something that every married couple should try to follow!!

1) Trust God
If having a healthy marriage seems impossible, it's because it is. However, we have a loving, heavenly Father who wants to make it possible. We believe the number one essential of a healthy marriage is allowing God to control our lives. That is why we believe the number one essential for a healthy marriage it to Trust God.

2) Hurry Home
It is essential for a healthy marriage that you make your time together a priority. For marriages to thrive, schedules must reflect the huge priority of home. In other words, cheat at work if you must, but do not cheat at home. In fact we encourage you to Hurry Home.

3) Cultivate Communication
There may be nothing worse than feeling misunderstood. And perhaps there is nothing better than feeling understood, being known. Good communication is paramount in a good marriage. We believe it is essential for you and your spouse to Cultivate Communication.

4) Nurture Romance
The power of romance, sex and intimacy can be a married couple's biggest ally or it's greatest enemy. It's quite natural to want your spouse to remember your romantic needs and desires. However, Married Life believes the goal should be to put your spouse's needs and desires first. That's the best way to Nurture Romance.

5) Celebrate Differences
By God's design, men and women are very different. Our differences can be used to complement and serve each other, or they can drive us apart. We often try to change our spouses, in the name of love. Married Life believes a better option is to love our spouses, even if they never change. It's crucial for couples to seek to understand and accept each other's differences. We want you to Celebrate Differences.

6) Finish Together
More and more people are putting divorce on the table as an option. One essential thing every healthy marriage needs is security. People need to know that together as a couple, they can work out anything. We want couples to Finish Together.

Married Life LIVE is an event held about three times a year and gives couples an opportunity to make intentional investments into their marriages. The event includes dinner for the family, childcare, and helpful tools in building a stronger and closer relationship. Is it possible for two people to fall in love and actually stay there? Absolutely! Learn how.

If you live near me and want to come we are having it Friday, November 20th at Second Baytown!!

Monday Memories!!!!

I titled this Monday Memories because when my Dad came to visit last week it reminded me how my boys always put on a huge show for pawpaw and about drive me crazy!!! Of course Dad doesn't help things....he likes to teach them jingles and sayings that, well, most kids shouldn't hear or sing!!! LOL!! That my Dad!!!! Marc says I should get him to write them down so we don't forget them....or actually so Marc can use them one day!! LOL For those of you that don't know my Dad lives about four hours away but before he moved he would come see my boys a few times a week and get them all hyped up, just like he did before and after taking the pictures below, and then it would be time for him to go....he is worse then giving them a red sugar drink!! I do love this picture and am so glad that Emily is in this one with her Pawpaw kitties and looking forward to him teaching her some sweet little girl songs. (If you have any DAD!!!!) We love you pawpaw!!

Look at Emily....she looks a little scared!!! I am sure Jesse was hanging from the fan at that point!

My Dad doesn't smile in pictures that often but he did this time and I LOVE IT!!!

Happy 3 month Birthday Emily Grace........

I still can not believe that I have a baby girl, not to mention that she is now 3 months old!!! She is so precious!!! She is smiling like crazy and has even laughed a few times. She loves me but really lights up at her Daddy and her brothers. They keep her entertained!! She is trying to roll over and will grab at her toys that hang from her swing and she loves her bath. She has practically slept through the night since the day she was born. Her favorite thing in the world though is to just be held and I can handle that one!!!!! I wish she would just stay a baby forever!!

Show us Your Life....Thanksgiving Traditions and Recipes!

”Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner”
We really don't have traditions as my parents are divorced and my dad lives out of town in the Hill Country so between my parents and Marc's we do something different every year. However, this year we are going to Destin Florida for the first time ever to spend Thanksgiving and I am so excited. My in laws are going with us and we are fixing Thanksgiving dinner in our condo on the beach!!! How great is that??? I can just picture my boys playing on the beach and showing Emily the ocean for the first time....not that she will remember but at least she's here. If you would have told me last Thanksgiving we would have a little girl I would have laughed!! God is so good!!!
Who knows.....maybe we will make Destin a tradition!!!
Oh and with that beautiful beach and water you know I will have a TON of pictures!!

recipes....I need to find my sweet potatoe casserole recipe....that is what I am famous for!! Will post it later tonight!!!
